In 2006 after an extensive search in North Georgia, we decided to move our search east of Atlanta to the Athens area.  Donna went to college at UGA and the idea of living near a fun college town interested us.  I engaged Patsy Huban of Coldwell Banker Athens to help us in the search for 25-50 acres that would be suitable for a future home, barn and pastures.

Ideally, we were seeking land that did not have structures, had plentiful water resources and had numerous attractive building sites.
